Welcome to the Virtual Museum! We'd like to thank the many individuals who have already contributed their knowledge, personal stories, and treasures to this project. We also wish to thank ALL of you who continue to support the entire National EMS Museum effort as we move forward and increase our capabilities. What you see here is the result of months of background work by the hands of many, presented in a navigational format we hope you find simple and enjoyable. 

The main entrance is a large star with points - or "wings" - modeled after the points on the original "Star of Life". Individual "wings" are represented by small stars and their points will take you to the "stacks". Once in a stack or wing, you will also find you can switch to a different location by using the right side menu. 

Once viewing a display, any pictures may be enlarged by clicking on them. They open in a new window, so simply close this browser window when done. You will also be able to return to the Virtual Museum Home Page at any time by clicking on the link found within each page. You will also find links to information on reprints, copyrights, electronic feeds, and other items on each page, as well.

We encourage you to return as often as you are able. As we grow exhibits are likely to change and may be archived off line for certain periods of time. If you return and can't find something you saw before, please feel free to ask any of the Museum Staff for assistance. We will make every effort to assist you in as timely manner as possible.


This IS your Museum and we sincerely WANT your comments and involvement. This is intended to be a living, changing environment, nurtured by the EMS community as a whole. Please feel free to send us pictures and stories about YOUR mentors and treasures, as well as your comments, and ideas for future inclusions. Better yet? Consider joining us! There are still a few Regional and several State staff positions open. We are also always looking for individual contributors and researchers to work in special projects. The more help we have the better this will be!
