1970's: Resuscitation: E&J Resuscitator Lyteport III

E&J Resuscitator Lyteport III. 1960's-1970's.  Smaller resuscitator than the MSA Pneolator, it has two oxygen bottles and also has an Oxygen powered aspirator. It weighed 38 lbs. However, these devices could not be effectively used with CPR due to the automatic cycling of the pressure rates. In the the late 60's the "Elder" demand valve was introduced as a positive pressure resuscitation head and was installed on many of these resuscitators to aid in CPR delivery.
